How to Prepare for Eyelash Extensions

EYELASH EXTENSION PREP – LET’S GET YOU READY!

Arrive with Clean Lashes – Make sure your lashes are free from makeup, mascara, oils, and any other products. This helps the extensions bond better!
Avoid Mascara – Don't wear mascara or any eye makeup before your appointment, as we need clean, fresh lashes to work with.
Avoid Oils and Creams – Skip applying oil-based products (including moisturizers) around your eyes 24 hours before your appointment, as they can affect adhesion.
No Eyelash Curling – Avoid using eyelash curlers for at least 48 hours before your appointment, so your natural lashes are in their best shape.
Arrive Relaxed – You’ll be lying down for a bit, so try to come to your appointment with a relaxed mindset!
Contact Lenses – If you wear contacts, remove them before your appointment to avoid any irritation during the procedure.
Prepare for the Time – The appointment can take up to 1.5 hours depending on the style you’re going for, so plan ahead for some chill, lash time!

Let’s get those lashes looking gorgeous! ????️✨

Lash Extension Aftercare – Keep Those Lashes On Point!

???? Keep 'Em Dry for the First 48 Hours
For the first 48 hours after your lash extension appointment, avoid getting your lashes wet. No showers, washing your face, or splashing water on them—water messes with the glue, and we want them to stick!

???? Clean ‘Em Regularly
After the 48-hour mark, it’s time to clean your lashes! Clean every 3 days to prevent any build-up of residue that could cause infections:

  • Gently brush them with a soft bristle brush
  • Use a lash extension cleanser or distilled water
  • Let shower water gently rinse over your eyes

Daily Brushing
Every morning, brush your lash tips using a clean, dry spoolie. Support them with a clean finger while you brush to keep them in shape!

???? Be Mindful with Products
Avoid using oil-based products (like eye creams or makeup removers) around your lashes. These can break down the adhesive.

???? Skip Certain Makeup
No mascara—even the "extension-safe" kind! Stick to water-based, non-waterproof eyeliner and be gentle when removing makeup. Avoid powdery eyeshadows, as they can get stuck in the glue and mess with the look.

???? What NOT to Do

  • Don’t pick at them! They might feel strange at first, but picking can damage both your extensions and natural lashes.
  • Sleep on Your Back – Sleeping on your side or stomach can crush and misshape your lashes.
  • Avoid Cluster Lashes – They’re heavier and can damage your natural lashes.
  • No Eyelash Curlers – They can cause your extensions to pull out or break.

The Bottom Line
To keep those lashes lush, brush daily, clean every 3 days, and avoid anything that could damage them. Follow these steps, and you’ll enjoy beautiful, long-lasting lashes with no extra fuss! ????️????
